Will Medicare cover the cost of nursing home care?
There’s a common misconception that Medicare is going to cover the cost of a long-term nursing home stay. There’s really only three ways to pay for a nursing home. There’s paying privately out of your own pocket, there’s long-term care insurance and there’s Medicaid, which is used when people don’t have any assets left and Medicaid picks up the tab.
